About Singapore Wine Vault

What is Singapore Wine Vault?

Singapore Wine Vault is Southeast Asia’s largest bonded wine and spirits storage facility, located at 6 Fishery Port Road, Singapore 619747. We operate a 750,000 sq ft, temperature-controlled warehouse with capacity for over 10 million bottles, serving private collectors, wine traders, investment funds, and corporate clients across Asia.

Is Singapore Wine Vault a bonded warehouse?

Yes. We operate as a licensed bonded warehouse under Singapore Customs regulations. Storing wine and spirits here lets clients defer payment of import duties and GST until goods are released for local consumption or re-exported — valuable for traders, investors, and collectors managing large portfolios.

What certifications does Singapore Wine Vault hold?

We hold ISO and HACCP certification, making us the world’s first wine storage facility to achieve this combination. ISO certification confirms our quality management systems meet international standards; HACCP confirms our food safety and handling protocols are independently audited and verified. Both are renewed annually.

Is Singapore Wine Vault affiliated with a larger logistics group?

Yes. Singapore Wine Vault is a subsidiary of CWT Logistics Pte Ltd, part of CWT Group of Companies — one of Singapore’s largest integrated logistics providers. This gives clients access to enterprise-grade warehousing infrastructure, customs expertise, and supply chain capabilities.

Storage Conditions

What temperature and humidity conditions does the facility maintain?

Our facility maintains a constant 12°C to 13°C — the internationally recognised optimal range for long-term wine storage. Climate control runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with backup systems in place to prevent fluctuation during equipment servicing or power interruptions.

Is the facility vibration-free?

Yes. Our storage system is designed to minimise vibration — a critical factor in preserving the structure and ageing profile of fine wine. The facility sits on a stabilised concrete base and uses racking systems that absorb movement. We do not store wines near heavy industrial machinery.

How is the facility secured?

The facility operates 24-hour security with CCTV monitoring across all storage zones, restricted access controls at every entry point, and secure individual storage options for high-value collections. Access is logged and auditable, and our bonded status means Singapore Customs maintains oversight of all goods in storage.

Bonded Storage & Customs

What does it mean to store wine in a bonded warehouse?

A bonded warehouse is a government-licensed facility where goods subject to duty or GST are stored without those taxes collected upfront. You pay import duties and GST only when you remove goods for local consumption in Singapore. Re-exporting to another country means no Singapore duties or GST at all — significantly improving cash flow for traders and investors managing large stock volumes.

Who regulates bonded wine storage in Singapore?

Bonded wine storage is regulated by Singapore Customs. All licensed bonded warehouses operate under a Customs Warehouse Licence and are subject to regular audits. We hold the required licences and operate in full compliance with Singapore Customs regulations and Singapore Food Agency (SFA) requirements for alcohol storage.

Can I store wine for re-export without paying Singapore duties?

Yes. Goods stored in our bonded facility and later re-exported do not incur Singapore import duties or GST. This makes us an efficient hub for wine traders and distributors sourcing wine for distribution across Asia-Pacific. We handle the customs documentation for both in-bound storage and outbound re-export.

How does GST deferment work for wine stored here?

Under Singapore’s bonded warehouse scheme, GST is deferred for as long as your wine remains in storage — the liability is triggered only when goods leave for local consumption. Our team can walk you through applicable rates and the declaration process. Try our online Duty and GST Calculator for an estimate.
